Hi there! This is my first time raising chicks/chickens so I'm by no means an expert.
I ordered female chicks from mypetchicken, and I think most of them are right, but there are two of them that I have been wondering about since almost a week from hatching. One of them is this golden laced wyandotte- its comb got redder (none of the other chickens have- but I don't have any other wyandottes to compare) and it's the only one that grew wattles this quick. It's 4 weeks old now, and I know their policy is 10 weeks, but I figured it couldn't hurt to post some pics and see what the experts here think!
The other one is a speckled sussex, it barely has feathers compared to the other 4 week olds. Only not attaching pics because it's hard to get pics of it- but if anyone has sexing advice on those, I'd take that, too! Both of these chicks were very slow to feather and were the last ones able to fly. Despite the wyandotte being the biggest/heaviest/tallest of the mixed bunch.
Thanks, all!
