I have a 4 week old chick who’s crop keeps filling up with fluid. I am experienced with sour crop with adult birds but not chicks. I keep draining it for her and in a few hours it fills back up. Could it be sour crop or organ failure? I put her in a cage away from others with no food for a chance for the crop to rest. Should I still give her water with apple cider vinegar? Or no water? Would nutri drench work here?

Is she pooping, what's that like? Photos.

Always provide water during waking hours. A small amount of wet mushy feed can be provided.

Do you provide grit (crushed granite) for your chicks?

The best way to gauge crop function is the check the crop when the chick goes to bed (dusk), then first thing in the morning before she's had anything to eat/drink. If the crop has not emptied, then begin treating. https://www.backyardchickens.com/ar...w-to-know-which-one-youre-dealing-with.73607/

Take care in emptying/vomiting a chick(en) they can easily choke or aspirate.
