4 weeks old ducklings off heat?

Hi, my 4 ducklings will be 4 weeks old tomorrow and are starting to feather. They seem to ignore their heat plate most of the time. Can I take it out of their brooder now? I found a chart that says by week 4 their ideal temp is 55F?! .....its 64-66 in the room they are in.

Yes, you can remove the heat plate now. 55F° is fairly accurate, though maybe a little low. My rule is to take 90 and subtract 1 for each day they’re alive; that’s around the temperature they can withstand.
