I'm a new chick mama, and so of course I'm worring. My chicks are almost 4 weeks old and I see mostly firm poops, but then there are the runny, soft ones. Does that happen when they get nervous/scared or could it be something else? Feeding them the medicated feed and have started on a few simple food items (a berry, slug, hard boiled egg), but not much as I know the feed should be the bulk of the diet. The runny poop is not new, more of an ongoing thing...but with so many firm ones, I'm not sure if it is one chick or not. I have 10 total. Thankful I never had a pastey vent, but have stopped checking that now. Do I need to worry? Or when do you think it will stop? and if it doesn't do I worry then? Otherwise my chicks seem pretty happy. Thanks for the comments.
