Awe so the random post contest is over Mstricer? I'm so confused by this as far as when and where to post lol. I thought all contests started after today.

I was wondering about the link to post a pic of your set eggs. I thought contest 1 was to guess how many eggs are being set? Will this posting thread be seen by everyone for how many eggs are being set today?

I too have a box floating around out there that was supposed to be here Saturday. The PO messed up on all of my deliveries this week.

USPS has my last box in Little Rock (I'm near Philly), with a delivery scheduled for yesterday? I'm headed to the Post Office shortly to check if they've arrived anyway.... I REFUSE to lose hope!

They have mine leaving PA as of Sunday and delivery date as yesterday also. I know they are under staffed and busting their butts with the holiday season upon us but, this is nuts!!

Morning all, had to box four more boxes of eggs to get out today and prep bird boxes for geese we have to send next week. PLUS get the eggs ready in racks for todays setting.

humid (no muggy) and very warm here in FL today, was looking forward to winter mid 70's but no dice.

It seems like Priority mail is taking 4 days to deliver. I have quail eggs shipped Saturday that still aren't here. Expected delivery date: 12/10, but the last update was in MN the morning of 12/10, which is actually FURTHER away than where they were shipped from. :/ I really hope they make it here. I hope my eggs make it to their destination without delay or damage too. This will be the first and last time I try shipping at this time of the season.

Forty five more minutes until I get to set my chicken eggs for the NYD hatch along!! I have five girls in their room trying to give me more eggs to set for the hatch along, so hopefully they all lay in time!

I got them!!! My mystery eggs have arrived!!! They are all in good shape, but they are COLD... Hopefully they are not frozen. I'll let them warm up a bit, then candle them. They should have plenty of time to warm to room temp before noon... 1hr 45min to go!!!

Well, I finally caught up! I'm still up, enjoying a bit of piece and quiet before the BIG DAY!

In less than 10 hours we will have a room full of home schooled 4-Hers looking at, learning to candle, and setting eggs (at 12 noon). I am so eggsited!
Thank you Jim (MrHeinz) for some beautifully packaged eggs. We had no cracks, and will find out tomorrow if any eggs were scrambled. Our box looked in amazing shape, and with a bit of luck (God's providence) they are all in great shape.

Our daughter has been collecting eggs, and has one special "smallest egg laid" to go in. She wants to see if it will hatch. This process has been so much fun already! Can't wait!
I am going to crazy in 21 days, waiting, waiting, waiting! Yippee!

Well, I hope I didn't ask any questions, because I'm sure I'd never find the answers anyone might have left, LOL, this thread moves so fast!!!

I got all my eggs, many with loose air sacks, hope they'll settle?? Anyway......ready to go, except I'm still not happy with my incubator. last night to tweak things I guess! No sleep for the wicked (me).

Hello everyone, just had a quick question about this NYD hatch-a-long. I went ahead and signed up because I am planning to set a few eggs and kinda follow along with all of you, but but then I got to wondering do I really NEED to be signed up if I don't plan on actually playing any of the games? Is it ok to hatch along and not play any of the games? LOL sorry, its redundant but I just don't want to make anyone's job harder than it has to be.

Looks beautiful out, but the birds aren't fans. Except the waterfowl. They don't seem to mind it much.

Last min question....are we dq for first chick hatched if we have to set before 12? I gotta go to work and really wanna participate, hoping a chick or two will wait till midnight lol. I hope we still can! I'm def gonna be playing all the other games

Ok so the best I could manage for now is a web cam, but it does take pics so now my question is when we take the pic of our eggs at set do we need the atomic clock in that photo like the one for hatching time or no? Also, since I am gonna use a web cam, how would I manage the atomic clock with the cam box on screen?

I have not posted it yet and it is a random entrant from the hatchers and I will post the contest and the winner after the set. Which is in about 40 mins.
