That is my Icelandic cockerel, Falki.  Eggs fertilized by him are part of this hatchalong.......not by me.....but by mbmess2003.  I don't do winter hatching but he's in Louisiana and will have much better weather than me!!

This Roo is gorgeous! And I'm real happy to hear you're not fertilizing your eggs ; )

Haha! My mom's always like " we only have 1 egg left in the fridge! I thought we got six eggs a day?" I'm like... theyre molting...:gig

Too Funny! And mistaking incubator for fridge?! Love it! Now I need that cabinet incubator to make that excuse work.

but I don't remember my guess!!! So if I post to the thread..it'll be a new guess! Heck, I don't even remember what I had for dessert....does that mean I need to have it again?;)

I too like the way you think! And also can't remember what total number of eggs I guessed.

Mrs. fluffy Puffy, I would soooo be in on that contest! I believe YOU are the enabler here.

Oh, it's my pleasure! I can think of nothing better to be, am I right? Or course I'm right!!

I have my brooder all ready for this hatch and two prior sets in my brooder house. Actually it's an unheated uninsulated 8X12 storage shed I converted for chick brooding.
Right now there are 50 freedom rangers in a separate brooder. They turned one week old yesterday and the building got into the 30s the last 3 nights. There's a couple toasty spots under the hover and the chicks are doing great running in and out just like they had a big hen in a cold space.
