Morning all...........candled and tossed this week, ended up being a total of one tray total to be tossed from one of the cabinets. Everything from clears, cracks that showed themselves to bloodrings and early quitters. Not bad given the time of year, postal rush and all.

I'm gearing up to set a bunch more eggs after the NYD hatch! Anyone else gathering up eggs from their girls?

I set about 3 more batches of eggs, due between the 5th-12th. Now the bator is at least FULL. 29 chicken & 14 quail just don't fill a bator.

Love the tree pic's, I heard that if you use geranium flower extract, the cats will stay out of the tree they are supposed to hate the scent. Please keep posting the trees. I love seeing them.

There were a lot of posts about removing eggs but also a bunch about finding that the ones that looked like clears earlier were now developing!

Sally Sunshine has a lot of CPL, DMRippy and Duramax chicks drying off after hatch. Nice pictures

There was a Humidity question from cochins1088. Eggs seemed to be developing air sacs at different rates. Several said to keep the Humidity in the 30% range.
CelticOaks was the target of FB lies!

There were a lot of Horse pictures from TMNfarm(See, I gave them a trophy at the top of the page). The family competes! Some of them win too!

We are almost convinced that we want horses now too! . TMNfarm is lucky because his Dad found a shorted circuit that could have caused a fire. We are thankful too!

As the night progressed, we learned that it was windy in PA, and that Blarneyeggs has three dogs!

mstricer found her Turkey Hen! She was hiding her eggs and trying to hatch them in the middle of winter! Silly Turkey!

Bettacreek is getting amped up for moving to her new house by grabbing raspberry starts and other stuff!

Razadia has to check into new poultry laws..Did not know they had any..needs to check zoning maps...Very worried....

Guess what? One of my millie flure D'Uucle pullets layed her first egg today yeah!!! Cant wait for them both to lay so i can try to incubate them. They are my all time favorite out of my chickens.

You will get some many combinations, I do every time they lay the first time. I just hatched 4 out of a Mille pen (all Milles) I got 2 black chicks, 1 lavender, 1 Mille, go figure, wanted Mille's got 1.

Welcome to my house, I live with the scrooge, and didn't even put up a tree, because I have been off work and he doesn't want to spend the money. Oh well I draw pictures of christmas trees and am in the process of decorating the living room with tacky paper made decorations, while he's at work think he'll get the picture.

I will set my next batch on Jan 11 so I will wait till NYD to start collecting again.

I so enjoy hatching. I will be running one to two hatches a month through the end of April.

Just not as big as this one.
