Merry Christmas everyone!!!

My girls came through and delivered all the eggs I need to give a dozen to each family or family member that lives on their own... 10 dozen eggs, and I only decided to do this about two weeks ago! Along with 3 eggs that have dents or cracks in them, I had 1 extra egg in my fridge! Way to go, Ladies!!!

My one niece looked at me when I handed her the eggs... "You're giving us eggs??" Not sure she knows I raise chickens... I told her dad (my brother) that he might wants to mention it to her, otherwise, I'm just the weird Aunt that gives people eggs for Christmas!

Gotta start trying to dig out from under the mess today... I have family coming I've roster for home made pizza!

Woo hoo! 10 dozen eggs!! I'm down to 1 or 2 per day...so everyone got wormed this week (less eggs to toss). I expect to be up and running in February. That's when we started to get more eggs last year.

I am testing out my Christmas Present, a new keyboard from DD#2. Mighty nice!

One day, they even gave me 11 eggs!! I have 12 hens, but Prim is raising chicks, so she has an excuse... It was only my second ever 11 egg day!! They really stepped it up. I getting between 6-9 eggs/day pretty regularly still...

It is official... I quit with ducks. We lost our drake last night. With all of the problems we have been having with them I think it is time to give up.

Yeah we dropped from 14 per day to 2-3! And it happened just like that! One day I didn't know what I was gonna do with all the eggs..and the next I was worried that I wouldn't have enough to make breakfast!

Oh gosh, Bettacreek! What the.....? I'm so sorry your drake died, what can be said? That's weird and it sucks! No sign of disease? Well, it certainly sounds like something bad has wiped out your flock there, I'm so sorry, poor things
