ok, so I got railroaded into a crappy New yYears party, and won't be on hand to take pics of the hatch, which disqualifies me for a contest i've waited for for a month. not a happy girl. I did set up a webcam, on the slight chance that can be submissable instead of a pic. Wow, I finally caught up (for the moment), at least until I hit enter and find 50 more pages.

Quick question ... Instead of putting paper towels down over my bator wire, i put that rubber mat stuff that people use in their drawers. Someone recommended it and it sounded like a good idea at the time - the eggs don't roll around as easy and it should provide good footing for the peeps, and it has holes for circulation of air and humidity. Sounds ok, ya? Or, maybe not. It is emitting a really strong rubbery smell and now I'm concerned that this might hurt my hatchlings before or after they hatch (if they hatch). Do you think I should be worried? I didn't think twice about it until my husband said I was probably slowly poisoning them with the rubber mat smell

I use it all the time and goes right through the washer/dryer too. I've been using the same pieces for about six months now.

Who's having pork and kraut tomorrow? Mine's cooking in crockpot. It's the first pork roast, from my own pigs, I'm making. YUM YUM it sure is stinking up the house 

I'm in the south so tomorrow we will most likely be eating greens, black eyes, corn bread, and maybe chicken. That's what we do every year and it never gets old.
