So what is this?!?

I candled my last couple eggs that hasn't popped and five just quit on me, one had a freak air sac or blank space like that ( wasn't there on day 18) n I have one last internal pipper I'm cheering for!

So my chick that has externally pipped didn't go through the air sac... is that a problem?

Nothing yet here either. I had one egg that made it to lock down. I did lower the temp a bit for lock down. (97) Maybe it is just taking it's time.

I was going to make one before mine hatched but I was too late to find cookie canisters (which is what I was going to use) So I have that Nesquick box kind of doing the job (keeps away any drafts and makes them feel safe) However, they'll outgrow that in a week... gotta come up with something else 'cause I'm glad they feel safe and warm, and would like them to continue to have that

We have 8 chicks!
We set 37, 3 never made it to lock down, but we were pretty sure that 8 or 9 others didn't have a chance.
Since this was our first hatch, we put in anything that wasn't cracked. Nothing smelled, so even the ones that looked empty, we decided not to toss.
So sad not one Welsummer has pipped.

One question, if a chick is laying on its back, gasping for an extended period of time, is that an indication it will not make it?

I have a brinsea mini advance that I have recommended to numerous people, saving up to get the ecoglow 20 next! Then, another mini! They are soooo reliable. If it doesn't hatch, it was something wrong with the egg!

I have a Mini Advanced, however it got dropped while it had duck eggs in it about a year ago and it hasn't worked since. I need to plug it back in and check test it again. I sure did like that lil incubator! LOL

lol they are in 5 diff trays in the hatcher and the bator. Ill see if i can condense them down for a good pic
