4th Annual BYC NYD Hatch-a-long

OK, last call to post your hatch. I see a lot of people who were active on this thread did not post the hatch rate. If you posted on the BYC hatch rate THREAD it is not on my spreadsheet. Please if you can post, i'm missing a lot of people.
thanks

found the nest!! it had two egg shells opened and no momma on it. I put the other eggs in the incubator so they might hatch (they were stone cold so probably not), she put her nest under an upturned wheelbarrow insulated on one side with fertilizer bags and straw bales all around it, god mamma :D
OH how sweet too!!! awwww how are they doing?

I sold all of my NYD hatch chicks and ducklings. I only kept two Seramas and the one Button baby that hatched. I lost one of the Seramas, it had some leg issues. I'm down to one Serama and one Button. They are inside.

However, I have 23 new additions to my brooders....ducklings!!!! I still have two eggs that haven't hatched yet. Anybody need ducklings? Drop me a PM. I'm looking for somebody to send them to (via mail). I have never shipped live birds before and would like to try. : ) Pictures to come....

Those are adorable chicks.
Seems like a lot of people have a hard time hatching buttons and serama I got more then I need in buttons lol I can send you some eggs my test batch i hatched 9 of 9
thats an awsome hatch rate for button quail. Most large scale breeders that jave had lots of experience cann best hope for a 42% -85% hatch rate according to the expert bird breeder that lives near me. hes raised so many different kinds of birds.tocans, various rare pidgeons, real button quail. I really admire his harris hawk, she really pretty.

I lost my special little chick... he lasted about 2 1/2 day, but that's ok... he was only about half the size of the others by then....
So here's some pics of my four that I took today. :)

And yes... her feet and beak are a weird green color... :hmm
She's part silkie (extra toes!) and I THINK that's why she's green.... lol.
the silver boy has grey legs.....
the other two have 'peach' tone skin....even the one with the silkie bump. it's interesting to me. :)
