I did this for a litter of puppies and it was soooo much fun to watch what they were doing in the whelping box while I was at work.

Ok people Im really worried about this baby, I know it can take them awhile to hatch and from pip to zip can take 24 hours and all that but I can see him in there and it dosnt look like he can turn, and it looks lke he is breathing really hard like gasping, am I hulicnateing?

I love how feisty pants keeps falling asleep randomly! Ps. I think that should be the official name!

ETA: Also with feisty pants out and bouncing around it will encourage the other chick!

I'm not overly experienced with chickens, but I've hatched a little over 200 so far (not that many). Mine do what your little McFeisty is doing...all the time...only worse. Mine have kicked chicks that were trying to hatch, using the bator as a soccer field (shoved them rolling across a foot and a half of mesh)...slammed them into the sides, and they've even rolled them around back and forth like a hockey puck. They still hatched out okay. =) With regard to the labored, heavy breathing, mine look like that too (I'm watching your cam). It's hard work bustin' out of those shells! :D
