This is going to be so much fun. I have my poultry story completed. Starting to get thoughts how the get pictures for some of the other contest. Sure hope I can get a few chicks to hatch.

That's where thin egg shells are useful! LOL I use a small maglight, the kind of flashlight where you twist the top to turn it on? Mine is the AA battery kind

I candle with an app on my iphone lol! I got som black copper maran eggs and it was IMPOSSIBLE to see through them

I've been trying to capture my birds in flight, but it's not working... camera is automatic and too slow, LOL

Figures, eh, mstricer? It was probably something like a foot or other feather bleeding (ouch, gotta hurt!) but they're probably ok now

Okay Folks.... I'm ready...allthough the last couple hatches have been terrible...what am I doing wrong....cleaning out my little Giant holds 42 eggs..(I think?) right now... I live on a high elevation, dry country in the oh so beautifull Wyoming....
What are the right numbers in humidity so I have more chance on a better hatch?....somewhere I read that also the humidity outside the incubator could have to do with the hatch ratio...
Please help!

Going to pick up some maran eggs at 8 am!

The Rooster for all mine is BlueCM some of the hens were BCM, also Ameraucana and a couple Orps so when ours all hatch (of course they will!) it will be interesting to compare the photos of your w/ mine which might help me id which of mine are from which hen.
