Good Morning everyone.
What our chicken eggs are doing-Day 5:

From-Egg-to-Chicken-5.jpg

Many complex physiological processes take place during the change from the egg to the chick. They include the use of highly nutritious food materials in the egg; the respiration of gases, or the taking in of oxygen and the removal of carbon dioxide and the building of living energy within the chick.

Fifth day -- formation of reproductive organs and differentiation of sex

I did candle last night, glad I did. I had a few cracked eggs that I missed seeing the crack. I had to clean out the bator, what a pain that was. The shells were pretty thin. Just glad I found them now instead of lifting the cover and smelling rotten eggs. My mystery egg is growing! I have 3 shipped viable, and all of mine are viable. I am hoping that some how the shipped eggs will still develop, but for now they look clear.

Morning all................ candled last night and found a surprise Cream Legbar chick hatched out! lol Had forgotten about the poor single egg that was left until I heard cheeping. She will have some newly hatched goslings soon to snuggle with.

Only had 4 eggs to pull out of the duck eggs set.

Spent yesterday scrubbing the brooder house, cleaning all the stalls and hanging heat lamps. We have 3 empty brooder stalls right now, so need to move chicks to the grow out pen and shuffle Jr ducklings around to make room for the new hatches.

Not a good post to wake up to. Hopefully more show signs of development.

I can't tell if any of my olive eggers are developing. Doesn't look like it though. Two are dead and I think ten of them are developing out of 25
