Does anyone know what kind of chickens these are I found them on the internet but I didnt see where it said what they are.

These are from BYC members PHAGE and LUVINBLUECHICKENS - they are currently the 6 VERY STRONG developing eggs in my NYD hatch incubator. Talk about EYE CANDY!! These are Blue Laced Red Wyandottes!

I love the snow pictures! Not ready for it yet!

My daughter's train is several hours behind due to all the snow! She's been traveling for 24 hours, still 23 to go. Can't wait!

Finally caught up, I've been so busy being sick...didn't even want to sit at the screen till now (well the last hour).

If they are obviously clear, 10 days. Blood rings, as soon as I am sure that it is not weird veins.

Penedesenca and Marans eggs I wait longer--until I am sure they are not getting darker.

How do you know for sure they are blood rings? (I have a few that I am pretty sure are blood rings.)


I saw definite movement in 4 of my silkie eggs today. Now I am going to try leaving them alone for a few days.

Yes, those are amazing to look at. They were on my wish list. Came really close to buying some for this hatch along actually,
but I didn't want to risk it for my first ever incubation, and new diy bator, so I with great personal restraint & reasonableness got some local eggs.
But soon soon soon...

I just sold some chicks! Made $30, yay

. 10 RIR chicks, 1 OE, and 1 BCM. I got some eggs today that I won on ebay. They are swedish flower hens and won them for only $1 (plus $15 shipping). It was for 6 but they sent 8. All the air cells are busted, but no cracks at least. I hope I end up with a few hatching.

What does this mean?? Sounds nice, but I'm just curious...

I went to a book signing tonight... My brother and his son wrote a Christain Sci-Fi novel called "Flight of the Angels". Great book if anyone is interested... You can get it on Amazon. Paperback or kindle edition... (Shamelessly plugging... I'm ultra proud of them!!!)

That is all great news (well not the air cell issue but hopefully they will be fine after resting a day or two).
