There seems to be some confusion regarding lockdown date on a few other threads. I was told day 18 was lockdown time so for those who set on Dec. 11, that should be Dec. 29th right? Eek, I'm getting nervous!

Lockdown in Saturday the 29th(tomorrow) at Noon.

ALL eggs lock down 3 days before the due date at 12 noon (day 18 happens to be chicken eggs if counting from when set)

Good morning everyone. We are almost there. Lockdown tomorrow at noon.

What's going on inside our chicken eggs - Day 17:

The normal position of the chick for hatching is with the head in the large end of the egg, under the right wing, with the legs drawn up toward the head. If the head is positioned in the small end of the egg, the chick's chances of survival are reduced by at least one-half. This is a serious malposition, or wrong position, for hatching. Just as a wrong position makes birth more difficult in mammals, a wrong position of the chick makes hatching more difficult or impossible.

Seventeenth day -- beak turns toward air cell

A few of my ducks have internally pipped! I heard a pip when I was turning this AM.
, oh and BTW, 8/8 of these eggs have made it so far, and they where shipped

I'm planning to lock down tomorrow and can't wait! I'll fire up the Genesis in the morning to get it warmed up then move the eggs from the Reptipro. I don't think it's well designed to hatch 30+ chicks. Now I need to decide if I'm starting another batch

I usually do a Valentine Hatch so I'll probably wait a bit, but the girls are laying so well now!
