I keep missing it happen, but in between writing my last post and checking again - I now have pip #2 (on left in photo) - and again, it's my own egg! So far two for two on my own eggies! Wee! Now if only they'd progress a little more. Would love to see my Marans start pipping too.

One of my eggs showed pipping and heard some peeping but sence this morning nother else happened. Just this one little hole.

the incubator is crammed full of shells, chicks, and shells with chicks.
just need to take out a few shells, maybe i could raise the humidity then open it, will that be okay?

That's what mine did too. I've now taken to finding videos on youtube of chicks peeping to try to encourage them to progress a bit, or at least to cheep for me so I can be assured they are still alive! I'm so paranoid right now. I was going to run to the store to get supplies for my brooder, but now I don't want to in case I miss my very first hatch. I'm glued.

Oh my, that adds to the stress!

I know how Jessiey feels! First hatch is exciting and stressful cause you don't really know what to expect.
