This is my little one with the beak issue... It is perfectly straight, just longer in the bottom... She seems to be eating fine, no issues at all, just looks like a little bulldog!
Aww, you will have to come up with a cute name for it...like ..Bulldog! Yep, thinking it just may stay straight. Will be able to scoop up the food faster than the others.
I started out that I was going to put boots on the little guy, but when it wasn't kicking, it's toes were all ((( like this... ))) around the body, but as I straightened the legs, the toes went like that... when the chick kicks out they do go back to being \|/ so I think when it's walking, it'll be fine... I think it's just got the bend in the toes while it's not got pressure on them in the picture.That looks like it will hold up!) I use electrical tape. Yep. I make it into small strips. Goes on easy, comes off easy..when..I am ready to pull it off. Otherwise sticks pretty well. Now for those crooked toes. Do you have any electrical tape?
I would personally tape all three top toes on each foot. I take small strips..tape from top to bottom, I make sure that the tape goes beyond a little past the toe. If it is a bit tight, and you aren't past the toe, it can puff up. Just saying, some folks don't mind the crooked toes, I don't mind if they are getting around fine, but when it is so easy at this age, I go ahead and tape the toes straight.
