4th Annual BYC NYD Hatch-a-long

I love that cabinet brooder!! Awesome job! Well done, and it looks like your chicks like it too. = )

I through out the last 7 duck/chicken that were in the hatccher. I found a duck egg pipped over in the other Sportsman, so I put 28 more duck eggs into lockdown. I set them the 11th (the day we set our chicken eggs for the NYD Hatch...since ducks take 28 days to hatch=1 week longer than chickens), Anywho looking forward to more ducklings! We're hoping to deliver all the chicks and ducklings to their new homes on Monday, we'll see. We'd better hurry as I'm head of heels in love with my two Serama babies and my two ducklings that are inside the house! I really do NOT want to sell them...but they are already promised. *sigh* Anybody have any ideas how I can talk myself into keeping some of my babies? LOL Or more like, talk my customers out of them! Hahaha

A little off topic... but, I didn't do the NYE hatch, (as I was going to be away the majority of the time!) But I did put some eggs in on NYD instead! =D So I have a bunch of random chicken eggs (mix of what ever my other half's mum has!) and a bunch of quail eggs aswell ^_^ never hatched quail before.. I'm not even sure if they will hatch? they are so light it's hard to tell if anything is even in there!

Oooo! I like the Green Eggs for St. Patty's Day... Have Olive eggs and green tinted bantam Ameraucana eggs that would count. Hmmm....

Here are some of the Iowa Blues from the NYD hatch.
