hey friends,
this is the incubator i will be using since i wont have too many eggs, it has been used regularly for ducks, by a friend.
Just wondering if anyone knows about this kind of incubator, plugged it in works good and the turner works as well. the only thing i don't know how to control is humidity. My dad remembers having to put water in the bottom, but he's not sure . Any help would be great. IM GETTING EXCITED:)!!!!

It should say somewhere. I would guess it's eaither a little giant or farm innovators incubator, model number would vary based on wether or not it's forced air.

And yes, you need to add water for humidity, but the amount varies. There should be a tray in the very bottom below the wire with little "cup" areas for water. You should only add water to 1 or 2 of the cups depending on the humidity levels. You would need to invest in a hygrometer to measure humidity. You can find a lot of information if you read some of the articles on hatching in the
learning center here on BYC. You can also search humidity and other aspects of incubation in the forums. If you have questions, feel free to ask! and Good Luck!

Ok, I think I have eggs lined up. I found an ebay auction that I like and I WILL win, hahaha. What date do you guys recommend for shipping? I seen a couple of different dates. I'm mainly wondering because of how the weekend falls so close and you don't get mail on Sundays. Do you recommend asking for them on the 6th, 7th, or 8th and leaving them sit for an extra couple of days or trying to work it out so that they come on the 10th but sit at the post office on Sunday.

I didn't like the taste of them, they are great for baking though, you should still move out of the city

We LOVE the duck eggs!
The trick is not to overcook them, and add a bit of milk or cream when beating them!
Best Quiches in the world!
There are people allergic to chicken egg that are not allergic to duck eggs!
