It's about 20 right now. But according to Mr. Weatherman the windchill on Wednesday and Thursday will be about 9. YIKES!!!

Well, my thermometer says 20, and it's snowing. Wind chills are down there. No moon here tonight, with the cloud cover, and snow.

Today we got a nice warm up to about 30 degrees, but it's fallen to about 20 now with wind and a bit of snow. It's better than it was. The past 2 days were single digits and below zero. The birds are happy as clams in the coop. It's staying about 35 degrees in there. I'm actually getting more eggs every day since the cold snap so it must not be too bad.

Only 10 below tonight. Not too bad for a North Idaho winter. Doesn't seem to bother anyone but me.

It was -6 this morning when I left for work. We should get to 13 above today. Tonight is supposed to drop down to at least -10, with -20 wind chills. There's at least 8 inches of snow on the ground. (we got 10 inches on Monday)

Our coop stays around 0 when it gets that cold. We have the heat lamp on and the heater base for their water, so it never freezes. The eggs they laid over the weekend (when we had a high of 4 degrees) all froze and cracked. They are also laying fewer these past few days. Can't say I blame them!

This weekend we're supposed to get into the upper 20's, so that will feel like summer!

These ladies have had it rougher with the temps this low, I'm looking forward to spring when they can run around in the grass and eat bugs again!

We're 14 right now -4 with windchill...

On the BRIGHT side, we're gonna be 38 on Saturday - I'm SO excited!

My girls are doing well.............. granted I got four eggs (most ever) on Monday and then down to 2 again yesterday, 1 today - bummer!
I keep waiting and waiting for a green or blue egg - all our girls are 24 weeks now.... we have 8 standards..... some a few of them are in it for the free ride apparently!
