I want to cage my lovebirds in larger cages. If I can I would prefer a single cage, but I have two large ones. What would be a good course of action?

I tried last night and ended up with two bullies, a conffluffed male, and mother and daughter getting along for the first time ever. They were returned to their original cages. I'll try again later today.

You're welcome to give it another try, but don't force it on them if they don't want it.

It's nice to hear mother and daughter getting along. I keep some of my king quail hens with their mother, because her mate died when she went broody. They make good company for her.

Their start was a little rough, to be honest. Quartz and Amore didn't get along well once she turned 14 days. Her mama plucked her bald so its a bit easier to see this. This is unfortunately a genetic trait between mother and daughters. Quartz is the daughter of Celes and she had a similar experience. Letting my birds breed sits wrong with me, but they are very social. Once taken away from their cages their absolute dolls. My two boys are father and son, with the younger being an awful pain. Their named Blare and Royal.
