5 month old Sebright lethargic, eyes look ODD

Does her face smell bad? I am worried that is sick with either MG or possibly coryza if she smells bad. Coryza can cause thick smelly nasal discharge, cough or wheezing, and gasping. The other chickens were probably already exposed by the same source as she was. If she does not smell bad, start some Tylan 50 injectable, but give it to her orally. Dosage is 1/4 ml per pound 2-3 times a day for 5 days. Does she weigh about a pound or less? Try to get her drinking and clean her nostrils with cotton and water or saline.

If she has a bad odor, you can use Tylan, but I would also get her on a sulfa antibiotic such as SMZ-TMP, Albon, or sulfadimethoxine. You can get it here https://www.medi-vet.com/Bird-Sulfa-Sulfamethoxazole-Trimethoprim-480mg-p/19328.htm
or through a vet.

Awww, poor chicken! I love chickens but that looks wrong. We have a couple of chicks that are outside and one I call Birdie had a closed eye, (she was a little black chick that liked me but doesn’t anymore and these symptoms are gone btw) and foul-smelling face. Her nose was a bit crusty and yeah, she ‘s better and running around with 3 others.
Let’s hope this one gets better.

Mew317, what did you treat yours with?

Here is a video. I gave away all my healthy chickens today. I cried. Now I am left with this sick, pitiful Sebright whose future is unknown.

Do I have time to order antibiotics online? No other way to get them except online?

Is a vet trip the only way to fix this?

She does have an odor and it smells like pus/infection. She doesn't wheeze or sneeze or cough. Can she survive this? Will she be blind?

You gave all your chickens away today? Were they exposed to her?

She looks to be in pretty rough shape.
If you want to treat her instead of cull her, then I suggest that you get some injectable Tylan50 as instructed by @Eggcessive in POST#11 of your thread. IF she has a bad smell, then a sulfa drug in addition to the Tylan50 is a good idea.

Injectable Tylan50 can be found at most feed stores, since you are in NC look at Tractor Supply.

Even if she recovers, whatever she has, you need to consider her a carrier of the illness. It would be best to keep a closed flock, meaning not to give away/sell/trade chicks, hatching eggs or adults. New birds you bring in may or may not become ill, but being exposed, they would also be considered carriers.

If you happen to lose her, sending the body one of the NC state labs for testing will let you know what she has. http://www.ncagr.gov/vet/ncvdl/

Did you read the article about MG in chickens? Respiratory diseases make chicken carriers, and that includes the whole flock. Can you call whoever you gave the chickens to today, and inform them that they may expose their healthy chickens to the same disease. Since she has a bad odor you may be dealing with coryza, or a combination of 2 diseases. I would get the chickens back from whoever took them, so you don’t pass this disease to someone else’s flock.

We gave her some type of medicine water. I don’t know what it was as I wasn’t paying attention. It could of been anything. It did have some type of chicken...medicine..thing. I don’t know. Go ask the people who are good at this thing, heh.

I just watched the video and it looks like there’s holes in her eyelid or that’s just how it looks to me. Unless that’s just bubbles and her eye. I don’t really know.
