5 new babies soon....hopefully

my neighbor is starting his incubator tonight. I gave him 5 eggs of mine. 2 leghorn, one GSL, 1 australorp and one d'uccle. i wanted ore d'uccle... but he decided an egto start the bator today. so I went with what was laid today! any other day, all 3 d'uccles lay an egg and I have 3.

monday night we added more eggs...so 8 in the bator... oh boy!

well,we got 5. I don't think that all 5 are mine, but 2 are DEFINITELY mine! The D'uccle and Cochin baby. Brought them home Monday. On Thursday, I showed them to my chickens, out of curiosity to see what they'd do....

Today is Saturday and I now have a broody Cochin hen! GO FIGURE!
Seeing those babies and hearing them must have gotten her momma instinct juices flowing!

I gave her 2 D'uccle eggs to sit on.
