My lazy cats were toying with a mouse when DH went to work last night. "A fat little bugger" as my DH described it. Sure enough, there were what looked like leftover insides on the mat in front of the door this AM sorry if that's too gross!) Thought nothing of it.

DD finds me later lamenting that the cats have drug baby mice up to the house, "Poor Babies, How Awful!" she wails.

Yep, looked a little closer and it wasn't leftover insides exactly -- it was tiny mice. It appears my kitty took out 5 or 6 meecees when she killed the one - WOOT WOOT!! I hate meecees to pieces!!

Thats why I have a couple cats around....even though I am not really a cat person.(Though I think my dachshunds do a better job catching the meeces!!!!!)

I have 3 cats and none of them kill mice, yet my BO's do. Craziness. My big girl Honey killed 6 mice just last week.

I guess mine take literal birds with a metaphorical stone and leave them on the porch. . . It is often a sparrow something, but one time it was a hummingbird (

) and another time a whole entire Flicker! (very large woodpecker) That thing was pretty big, and it was entirely intact - Infact, I lifted its wing and saw the reason why they're called "red shafted" Flickers - It had the most beautiful, vibrant orangey color of feathers on the bottom of its primaries and secondaries. Sooo beautiful but sad.

We lost our good mouser last year, man I miss her. I could let her in the house if I heard one inside . . . . put her in the room the noises were in . . . . . . and she'd have it in no time. It's like she knew that if I let her in, it was because she had work to do,
