5 silkie chicks in VA or PA SOLD!

I'm going to talk to the person who has the lone chick now and see if she's interested. She'd be the one driving up there if we were to get them, so it's her call.. Y'know what color that chimkunky striped greyish one will turn out? And how many are bearded?
I'm trying to compare size in my head. The chick that is lone is 3ish weeks, and it had a really small, runty silkie in with it. I think they'd be okay, considering it's lonely. What's the chick's hatch date?
And what day are you driving up here?

Here is a pic of the last chipmunkey one at 4 months old. The lady who took him was kind enough to send this picture last week. (He's in the back center next to the buff)

The black chicks hatched Thursday, the greys on Friday and Chipmunk sometime last night.
They are about 2 1/2 inches tall at this point.
I will either be traveling up Thursday night or sometime on Friday, I'll know for sure on Wednesday. The return trip will be Sunday night or Monday afternoon, but again, I'll know for sure on Wednesday. Sorry I can't be more precise, my dstbh has a fluctuating schedule.......

As far as bearded, well, the daddies are bearded, the mommies are not. From what I remember of the last batch, the hens came out bearded, but the roos weren't. I don't know if this is coincidence, or if it's a breeding rule. I try to make sure I hatch the eggs from like-colored parents, but sometimes I miss one, mainly because my white roo is clever and sneaky. The problem is my hens all go broody at once and will sit and slowly starve to death if I don't let them hatch something, I can't break them once they start.......

I WANT IT.

I think they'll do okay because they should be a little bit bigger by then.. I'll try to get them to stunt the lone chick's growth in the mean time. I'm going to call them tonight and see what they say. I have a feeling they'll want them.. But I'll see. No guarantees, but.. I'm in love.

Sounds great, I'll wait to hear from you.
One more thing I wanted to mention.......I can pretty much guarantee the greys will grow up grey & the mixed grow up like the pic above, however, one of the blacks may grow up to be "frosted" like the black one in the forefront of the above pic, due again to sneaky white roo. This may be important if you're looking for pure colors to breed......

I'm not really a breeder, so I don't think that'll be a problem. Thanks for letting me know!

I still have yet to talk to them, so consider them available at this point..
If anyone else wants them, then go ahead until I get confirmation. 'Cause who knows with these people..

My hens go broody every three months, so yes I'm sure I'll have some. I am also getting better at segregating, so you can choose your color. In March I'll have pure white, bearded & non-bearded as well. The white roo is super fluffy and sweet and once the two white hens are old enough, I can't wait to see their chicks......

who did you purchase your birds from? if GEGchickies doesn't get these, and my hatch for an order on Oct. 6, doesn't go well, I would like to purchase these.

Some of my birds came from private breeders, and some are rescues: some from people who bought chicks, then didn't want them when they grew up, a few were being raised as "practice" for fighting roosters, one who had her toes crushed and limps.
But they are all healthy and sweet and spoiled and broody, broody , broody.
