5 Week Old Chick Has Leaky Vent

The entire brooder shouldn't be warm, just a spot under the heat source. Also, do all your chicks have those thick legs?

Yeah they do. I use a heat lamp because they wouldn't use the plate. So they can get closer or farther

This is the chick from different angles. I didn't think her legs looks thick, compared to the others she is a runt. But she squats so its hard to capture her legs

This chick may be constipated. A blockage. Just making a wild guess, but the clues are peeping when pooping and the swollen vent. Have you tried giving the chick some coconut oil? Give one teaspoon, slighly chilled so it's eeas to slip bits of the oil into the beak.

What breed are these chicks? Cornish?
