Hi all, looking for some good guesses at the sex of my babies.
I hatched the frizzle in an incubator, her hatch mate died so got her some mates from a heritage breeder. She is part Auracana part Frizzle pic n mix and 4 weeks old. The others are 5 weeks. I was convinced only the SL Wyandotte was a boy, but today everyone is showing pink in the combs so now I wonder if I have 5 boys

I’ve found that sometimes the pullets combs will turn a pinkish colour when a lot of blood is going to that spot, like in very hot or cold temperatures or when their combs are actively growing.

Can you post closer pictures of the individual chicks? I can’t see their neck feathers, which are a major indicator of the gender in most breeds.

Oh really? Most don’t really have neck feathers except the SL who is getting pin feathers coming in very quickly now. I can try get some better pics later today. I have pics of when they were 2 weeks if that would help?

It’s okay but when they do get neck or at least feathers where the neck and back meet you can tell their gender fairly easy. If they have narrow, pointed feathers boy. Wide, rounded feathers girl.
