5 weeks baby chicks question! Tired and not playing help!!!!

Glad to hear they are better. DE is good to use in the coop for mites, but wear a mask because it will damage your lungs if you breathe it in. You can also feed it to them in their feed for internal parasites, should that problem ever arise.

Electrolytes in water would be cheap insurance for sure. It might indeed be temperature related. I'm glad they seem better. Sometimes chicks are just like that. Been busy all day giving mine more room since they suddenly started pecking at each other. Bird brains! :th
This is what my dad said. He said because the temperature has been changing so much recently I don't know what is happening but they seem to be playing so much today like what is happening!! My baby chicks used to do that!! But they gotten used to each other by now. But I have one that's constantly crying when she's out of the heat lamps range. I've been losing sleep:hit

Thank you for the help and advice!! I will be heading out to grab that today then! :thumbsup

no problem, glad to help! might i add that if you have ticks you can put it on yourself, such as hair, and even sprinkle it around the outside of your house and around the coop. One powder, many uses!

No way!!! That's crazy! Oh my gosh thank you so much where would I be without this! :celebrate

Have they had access to grit? What besides their chick feed have they been eating? How about grass? Have they been gorging on grass?

Monitor their crops. They should be flat in the morning before you feed them anything. If the crops are hard and full first thing in the morning, they may be having crop issues.
