Hey all.
We incubated 9 eggs Feb 9. We had 8 hatch on March 2. So we are 5 weeks old today. They look like they are doing well
Here are some pictures.
They are Black Australorps.
just hatched/hatching
yesterday
I tried to sex them when they were little by the wing length but I didn't record it as I didn't have a way to identify them later. (Definitely something I'll do in the future).
Judging from our first bunch of chicks we raised (store bought) This picture of our hatched ones (of the ones you can see) looks to me like we have 3 roosters. I'm looking at the combs here. I know that a hen can have a big comb too. We did have one in our last batch but what do you think so far? Can you tell yet? When can you tell? Should I look another way?
Thanks
