Nothing happened I'm just been trying to figure out what killed one of my hens in August of this year... I was force feeding her because she wouldn't eat or drink I just want to know that's all her head went between her shoulder blades as she was screaming in pain along with flapping I had found blood in her mouth I just want to no why it happened forfuture hens

Weekly update #1
They are eating 1roll of bread half a cup of peas green beans and carrots in the morning with kale and pellet feed. Boss treats only a few seeds only earned if jumping or running for the seeds.
The right side of the kenelling started laying eggs again after several months.
The comet and Plymouth rock gained weight.... Help me... All the hens are eating twice as much pellets as they used to.... What's going on. I've done oyster shells once a week. Oneof my hens eats so much her gullet Streachd so huge that it doesn't restract back until tomorrow morning. And does anyone have any idea of where to get a more accurate weighing scale for animals.

Pellets are better for them, less fat. It also means they may eat more to feel full but in the end it is better for them. You should go by condition, not necessarily weight on a bird. All mine have full crops at night. That's normal.

Well of course but the comet send Plymouth rock I can hardly feel there breast bone they are over weight I just want them to get to a healthy weight for them to live a long happy life

It will take some time for them to lose weight. Exercise and getting them moving more will help. If they are over eating the oyster shells it probably means they are craving them. You could scatter a handful daily so they have to forage for it. What type of pellets are they? Layer? Which isn't good for hens that aren't laying.

I still have almost 2 year old hens so it's kind of hard with feed I get nuterna layer pellets they never really ate oyster shells when they were younger they don't like moving that much I understand it takes a while for them to lose weight but they are moving more then usual which is good what feed would I need to change to that is better for them

You can feed everyone a non medicated grower or an All Flock ration with a separate bowl of oyster shells for the calcium needs. That extra calcium is hard on non laying birds.
