That's a great idea for a contest!

Such a little doll!

I hope they do too!So far, if looks like I have 2 live embryos out of 9 eggs. Some were frozen and seeped. The slw eggs were infertile and I had 2 blood rings. I'm bummed. But looking forward to a chance at a drawing nowI really hope my last two live chickies make it to hatching.![]()

Yay! Yes, she'll be an EE. But EE's are great chickens. I love mine and love the pretty eggs.
Yes air cells can reattach if the eggs are treated properly and the damage isn't too bad.good luck! I hope the three you do have hatch!
is it possible for the air cells to reattach?
That is great news! So glad they are getting along well.Y
yes, they do like each other. Chipmunk ( not her name) has already shown uno how to drink! Good girl!
When you candle and tilt the egg the air cell will "roll" around with the motion of the egg rather than staying anchored at the top like it should. How do you know if an air cell has detached????
Oh no! That is awful.Hey fellow chicken psychos- er- I mean people. It took me forever to get caught up! I haven't been on since last night. My husband wrecked his semi in Iowa late last night due to the fact that the idiots at the truck stop did not put deicer or salt or sand or anything on their parking lot so he ended up sliding into another truck. So now his looks like someone took a can opener to it. Ugh!
So I candled my eggs and culled 5, I'm now down to 27 eggs. 3 that I called were EQ and 2 were clear. Not too shabby I say.

That is one beautiful brooder. Lucky chicks!
Just finished my brooder,I love it theres a front window and 2 side windows with hardware cloth over them and a nail on top you just have to lift up to open the door and put the nail back in the hole at the top that goes into the door to close it and we screwed a hole on the top right corner to screw the brooder lamp into can't wait till the chicks hatch 2 eggs are due Sunday I'll post pictures with the chicks in it too
