Wow, a lot of post while I was gone. Had to run out. Heat lamp fell and busted. And of course nothing is open today.

My 2nd pip turns out to be a .....d'Uccle. My very first.

Glad to see pics of the new year chicks.

Still waiting on my other 8...

I finally have a pip. I had to skip over 25 pages but I wanted to post about the pip. Now I'm hoping the chick makes it out, it is my RIR egg.

with no pip it is ok ...considering you can mist or get humidity back up fast..

my incubator has small openings, so it doesn't lose humidity very quickly.

Can't wait to see! How are the last 2 eggs? I helped my marans hatch. She was shrink wrapped, seems to be OK now.

okay good! my last two are just resting. one only pipped internally and I have been slowly helping the one that pipped at the.wrong end. it's still peeping and breathing

I have my 2nd chick! I won't see it until I get home from work though. My husband facetimed his niece while it popped out. She thought it was so cool.

Hahaha...my broody showgirl hatched an egg today. I can hear it chirping. Should I check to see if she has hatched any others or just leave her be?
