Yeah, but just for a minute to show him off. Then I took him outside, clipped his wing, and put him in the isolation/feed out pen. LOL. Then I brought him back in, weighed him because I couldn't get over how big he was at 6 months! Wouldn't mind if he's the daddy of some of my NYD hatch a long chicks, but he's gotta pass a health isolation first.

how much did he weigh?

He's a Brown Leghorn/RIR cross. They called him Goliath.

Wow! My husband wouldn't have cared at all, but I would've woke him up too!

Well, right after I got my first set of hens, I appeared over the bed holding the largest and most bossy of them...she'd managed to get in the house.

He's dreading me hatching chicks...he knows he'll be woken up with a chick in the face.

Good thing he's patient.

Heck no! I've read every post and check back multiple times through the day. Just so I don't get too far behind.

Okay okay, I'm BORED.

Is anyone setting anything besides chicken eggs? Some of the set dates are getting close but I haven't noticed if anyone was doing any other types.

I was considering some more ancona duck eggs, but I found two of the types of chickens I REALLY want so I am just doing them. I'll do my next set of anconas after the NYD ones hatch.

Oh and I just candled my 3 ducks due on friday and all three are still alive and kicking!

LOL. I have a similar problem. One SO, 2 elderly cats, one spoiled rotten 1 year old cat, and a chihuahua puppy under 5 months old...in a drafty old house -- the bed's only a full because a bigger bed wouldn't fit! I wake up some morning in a position better suited to a Chinese character -- or a hieroglyph!

My DH is like that. I tell him I can't believe he lets two tiny dogs push him around.

I just shove em over, and they sigh and then squeeze back against me when I'm done moving.
