Welp. It's 90F at 2:30 P.M. Ninety. Three days before Christmas. It's too hot to work outdoors. I had to come in. The chickens have ice in the waterers and ice blocks to stand on, and frozen peas to eat.

22C (72F) at 7.20AM this morning, with a clear blue sky. Temp scheduled to rise to 38C (100F) So normal for the time of year.

-30 C -20 F plus windchill and snow, no end in sight for next 14 days. I was talking to my chickens again. “Cheer up” I said, “Did you know there is chickens in southern Arizona right now sweltering in heat so bad they need ice in their water, and have to eat frozen peas to survive? “ Yeah right”, they said. “ Did y ou bring more food? Doesn’t this chicken heater go up any more? When is this hell going to end?” So there you have it.
