What happened?

If he's in Eastern WA, Winter Storm Cleon or whatever they named it probably happened. We've had straightline winds of over 20mph for nearly 24 hours now, and gusts up to 50 where I am. :/

Though you know, you could HATCH them and brood them in the house till they're big enough to go in the coop with their feathers on. O

What happened?

Well it is an ooooold coop with ooold wiring. We have a lightbulb and one plug that works for the heated waterer. It's been getting REALLY cold and I don't want to put chicks out there. Maybe I can join the easter hatch a long.

My dad would not be pleased with more animals in the house LOL. Three cats, three dogs, a parakeet, and a guinea pig. Can't forget my 4 fish tanks. Or the two injured hens (check out my thread pretty please ) living in here right now.

Well,  I  just didn't think of the hatch-a-long and I set around 35 eggs total in 4 batches starting November 12th.  The first were from my Silkies (my hen is sitting on more!) but none of those were fertile. This makes the 4th round of Silkie chicks from my new roo purchased as an adult early this year. I have trimmed butts and tried all of the "tricks" I have read, but none seem to work. He is gone this spring! and I will havereht to find another. For where I live, my best option will be to buy eggs from really nice birds, at least close  to show quality. I don't show but want nice birds. The rest of the eggs I ordered, I set starting the 15th. I am presently visiting my daugter in westermost MD and I live 5 miles from the very eastern most part of VA. Hubby will be taking care while I am gone. I have already thrown away some that were either scrambled, had blood rings, or air that was moving around in the inside and no growth there. Will something cause this other than getting shaken around in transit???? There were several others that I couldn't tell for sure, so I left them incubating. 
My bantam chicks have always hatched at 19 days. I have never tried bantamized large fowl eggs and the ones left in my incubator are bantam Cochins (some frizzled). I think bantam Cochins are bantamized? Are they not the same as Pekins???
Anyway, at 19 days some will already be hatching and the rest shortly thereafter. Someone told me that bantams hatch at 19 days and mine do, even when my d'Uccle hen sits on her own eggs.
I added my questions and notes here when I saw the hatch dates for chickens and am wondering about the 19 days for bantams.
Sorry for the additional questions, but I figured maybe someone could tell me here.

Welcome! My bantams usually hatch on day 19. I can not think of any reasons other than the USPS or a good hard shake that would detach an air cell. Sally Sunshine, aka Hatching Goddess started a thread on this subject...

Well guys I think I'm gunna have to pull out Power in the chicken coop has gone all wonky.

YAY! They shipped another incubator! And it's here, it's here! And hey, if I get lucky, maybe the other incubator will show up eventually  

Told my girls today, they better get with the egg making or I'll hire their replacements NYD
