He probably doesn't have any hobbies.

One thing that sometimes helps is putting the bottom half back into its half of the box it came in, sort of as an insulating layer.
ok, so do I pit the eggs evenly in the middle as I collect them? the book will help move it around so it doesn't get bad correct? if I do this, all fertile eggs sould be guaranteed to hatch?
Setting up the bator tomorrow. But....EEK.....we are supposed to get a winter storm in my area on Sunday. That would be fine except I live in the area where heavy ice is predicted with widespread power outages expected from the ice. I have a car battery with a power inverter to run an incubator if necessary..I hope we don't get a power outage. We haven't been able to scrape together the money for a whole house generator yet (previous owners took it with them when the bank foreclosed). Plus the people who lived here before us installed gas logs in the fireplace...but you can't light them when the power is off, and the propane company said the line from the tank to the fireplace is no longer code and wouldn't fill the tank.
I can donate a dozen Swedish Flower Hen eggs (parents are direct from GFF) as a prize if anyone can come up with a suitable contest.
ok!!! thanks!
I just did a lot of 'looking up' on the Brinsea Mini Advance....I may take a shot at that....we aren't looking to hatch tons of eggs, just a few to go with the ones we have now....
I read good reviews on it....im just worried it wont ship right or it wont keep the temperature or the thermometer wont work.... could you help me if I get it?
I may be over thinking it....prob easier than I expect!! haha
So if I did get eggs....I can collect them from Ed until 10 days before incubating...correct? so the eggs I collect do I save them in the fridge or on the counter?
the date is coming so fast im worried I may not be able to make it and set it up and get out the kinks.... if I can even do the hatch!!!
dead rooster today. :/ mustve been roostin in a tree last night or something then something took his head off
I am closer to Friday than you all! Mwhoo-ha-ha (since it's 16:20 over here...)
I agree! Best fertility test for eggs that you purchased is to put them in the incubator and check for development after a few days.
OK! I am still waiting in one more package of eggs, but it was in Wilmington, DE yesterday at 4pm (1/2 hour from my house) hopefully it's at my PO this am.![]()
