Turners tilt all the way to the left and then to the middle then all the way to the right in a very very slow motion. So it sounds like yours is working just fine

So because I am impatient and couldnt wait til Saturday(that would be day 7 for me) to candle I did a lil tonight and couldnt believe I could see veining!!! Was so excited because most of the eggs I set were shipped.

So shipped Monday CA arrived today TN
but the gash on the box caused me to put plastic under it b/f opening...

But lots of Bubble Wrap by PapaBrooder (& lots of extra eggs too & super effort above & beyond to get them mailed to me)
All Eggs Shells GOOD :)

2 Layers of eggs , tons of bubble wrap per egg, plus around all. I assume from the gash on the box the air cells will be in a sorry state, so not even handling them to candle,
just let them rest 6hrs to get to house temp, then into bator - NO TURNER , will candle day 3 or 4 to see what we have, will individually hand tilt my 4 own flock eggs meanwhile.

SET 6PM Eastern Dec 11

TOTAL SET = 50 49Chicken Eggs by FeyRaine 6pmEastern Dec11, 2013
These include:
SHIPPED 45 EGGS of the following:
4 Millie Fleur Leghorn
2 BCM (the really dark two)
4 IM (<-- not sure what that code is?? the 4 choc. med. dark ones)
8 SFH (lovely cream the first 8 eggs starting top left going across)
5 CL? (Breeder was stranded by ice storm, noted that these maybe CL, otherwise we guess B AME, will know when they hatch...)
16 BAM (very pretty pale blue to slightly mint green shade eggs)
6 R2 (<-- ah? lovely pale olive eggs...the last row turner)

PLUS MY EGGS -
2 (Includes the one I hand carried in my hat, plus one today, CL roo "Prince" over misc brown egg layers, large tan eggs middle bottom row)
2 (light green layed today by 2 mutt EE pullets I hatched this spring, the Roo arrived Sunday so _maybe_ fertile? )
Ok so here is the odd part, the new Roo, a CL I intended to name King, as in Good King Henry , since my other one in Prince, as in hopefully Charming.

So I saw about the loose today of the Roo already named that, & so my new CL will be Good King Henry II
& if the person who lost the Good King Henry today would pm me, in the spring when I have my NIPI if you pay shipping I'll send you some eggs from GKH II if you would like just cause :)

WOOHOO 2014 is gonna be a wonderful year for everyone AND our chickies!!
Jeff does a great job! You will have a good hatch too.

Hi! here is 14leghorn, 6phenix\wheaten americana x, and 8 bbs orpington eggs. this is batch number 5. I love hatching chicks.
Welcome to the hatch! I have added you to the list

Omg! PROBLEM! Came home and my hydrometer was 10% higher than normal at 70! I took some water out, and now its at about 68 after sitting for quite a few minutes! I don't hve a hydrometer only the reference one....it is bad to have more humidity than what is normal: 50-60%?

are my eggies ok? the well barely has any water in it!

im just guessing the eggs are making it more humid, holding water themselves, but is my humidity BAD?!?!?!?!

how would it affect my eggs if I don't change it?!?!?! im freaking out tooooooo much!

Move away from the Bator! Rule number one is to leave it along for 24 hours and then adjust humidity if necessary.

uh! problems!
It is probably fine. Like was posted earlier, the turner moves very slowly. It takes at least 10 hatches to burn one out.....

I set my eggs today around 1pm. When the eggs started to warm up in the incubator, I noticed 2 eggs started seeping egg whites (not condensation). And one cracked. This has happened before when I had goose eggs shipped to me a year ago. Is this from pressure building up inside the eggs from rough shipping? Or could this be because they may have froze during their trip? They did not smell whatsoever so I don't think they were bad. They were both SLW eggs. I was hoping to get some SLW

I do have one SLW egg left. My BLRW and chocolates look okay. Here's a picture of one of the eggs that started to ooze and cracked, seemingly under pressure.

And here's the rest of the eggs in the incubator. They seem okay so far. Also, are wyandotte eggs suppose to be this light? I thought they were more brown? These are bantam wyandottes.
