5th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2014 Hatch-A-Long

Well I got my binsea spot check in today and my bator was alittle low so I had to up it some. I've been playing this whole hatch a little at a time trying to figure out which thermomter to use. I think I have it pretty steady now going to let it sit for a few hours and check again see if it's still at 99.5/6.

I think I may candle all the eggs tonight I was holding off some but now after everyone else has done it I want to check mine.

Well going to laydown I messed up my back shoveling snow today so no work tonight for me. no pain meds so wifey may go get me some beer I think wonder how much milking of pain I have to do though.

Great news on getting the Spot check and adjusting the temps!

I hope your back feels better soon.

I bought one for my daughter just on a whim and she ended up being awesome, bad thing... I didn't realize that even though she was 3 months old, she could be pregnant. I found the baby dead one winter morning, it broke my heart to the point I found her a new home. I still regret it to this day.

We're debating goats to keep our woods clean of Green Briar, but we get conflicting reports whether goats will eat it or not.

It's unbelievable where we are, where we can't walk through the woods without first blazing a trail, then constantly mowing it to keep it down.. and NOTHING kills it.

Completely unchicken related ~took my Lily goat on a 'date' today ~her fussing was REALLY getting to me…so hopefully

I have yet to experience this great smell that everyone talks about when they speak of their sweet bucks. Sounds like I am glad that I haven't.
