5th Annual BYC New Year's Day 2014 Hatch-A-Long

Or maybe it requires you to have a certain number of post before you can post attachments, like with uploading pics?

Hmm I was debating on getting a sportsman and using my 1588 as hatcher. But I think i'll go cheaper route and get a sill air incubator as a hatcher after seeing the no fan during hatch. I don't think i'll have enough birds to fill a sportsman any ways.

A still air is perfect for hatching.

I know somewhere along the line in the last year-ish, there was a change to the way images were added into posts, and I have found the only way I can add them is to first upload them to my profile. You just click on My Profile in the upper right corner of any page, scroll down to my photos, click on upload, select Community or Personal, folder, name if you want, browse, and select what you want to upload and upload them. It is time consuming that one time only, after that it's a snap to put those pictures into any post you create.

I used to love the 1588 bators. I had a few of them. I started out with a still air. I did great with my still air. When I started using the ones with fans, I really didn't pay much attention, but then it hit me, I wasn't getting as good hatch rates. So, I brought out my old still air. Whallah! Another great hatch. Sold my ones with fans, and just use my still airs..yep, bought a couple more. Not sure why the still air works better for me here, but they do. Also have a couple of different friends that also find they do better with the still air here in Utah. We have different climates..anywhere from real hot to real cold temps. I find that .. of course, my hatch rate goes way down in the coldest part of winter, because I have to buy shipped eggs..and they do come cold for this hatch a long. After this hatch, I will be waiting to hatch again, unless I can get me some RIR's from a friend down in the outskirts of town. :) But I'm hoping my Rhodebars keep going, then I won't have to worry about more RIR's for a while. I really want a couple of girls out of this hatch.
