Ugghhh! My black copper roo is not breeding any hens in his pen. I have checked fertility several times. I even put some in incubator to check also. Nope no development! So I started watching and he chased occasionally a hen. Other than that .... zilch!

Freezer,,, or can you give him some Cheyenne pepper,,,AHAHH

I did my final candle tonight. I lost one LavOrp and my last SFH.

So sad.

But I still have 10 Lav Orps and the 3 blue eggs from my flock going strong. I want to order more SFH, but I think it'll be best to wait until all this nasty weather is over. In addition to rough handling, I think it's possible they got too cold in transit.

Awww, I am sorry about the SFH's. The lavendar orps will be beautiful, though, and so cute as chicks!

Built some new coops,,, Quick.. Kinda cold in my garage so..Some thinking was hurried up...You know when you for get to measure that third time,,That kinda of stuff... Top can be divided for the two hen I have broody.. The move was not like by the jersey giant.. She did no appear to make it back ,, but the barred hen did...Going to go check and feed ,gather eggs here and see what she has decided,,,

What a shame about the SFH. I had no idea they were so difficult to hatch. Yay on the other eggs tho, I bet LavOrps will be beautiful.

The pics of the flock these eggs came from are gorgeous. I can't wait to see them grow up and see them in person.
