Okay..I am soo confused but I am thinking my Acurite's are wonky. I took mine outside and it is currently reading 37% humidity. Humidity for my town is saying 70%. Can both of mine be that far off, or is there a mathematical formula I'm missing to get RH. Is the 70% that I'm reading in all of the forecasts RH?
AWESOME!!!! Come on Silkie Baby!!![]()
X2 I have had several upside-down chicks zip and hatch with their feet sticking up in the air! It just takes them longer. Amazing what they can do!I have never lost a chick that has pipped wrong end, and never had to assist one (I know some have, just my experience). Don't get me wrong..it makes me nervous, but they are amazing little buggers. If you believe in the power of prayer..now is the time. I kid you not, I pray constantly through the whole hatch! One night I was assisting a chick in my bedroom in the middle of the night, and DH likes to tell the story that he woke up to the lights blaring and it sounded like a tent revival going on in our bedroom, lol! I get a little worked up over hatching!
I like the way Chickencanoe does it. He puts it outside and then check the humidity for his area. That should be fairly close.
You are reading correctly. The Acurite's are not reading correctly. Intellicast says Penn is 60% now, so they are way low if they are saying 37%.Okay..I am soo confused but I am thinking my Acurite's are wonky.
