Hello, I have a 6 to 7 year-old rhode Island red who I have isolated in my garage the last 48 hours. I have had other hens with sour crop and I was unsuccessful treating them. I did help her vomit two days ago and tried again yesterday, but she seems to have an empty crop now. prior to isolating her I did notice her slowing down over the week and refusing to eat. I have given her the Miconazole treatment orally twice. I am attaching a photo of what she looks like now -she seems better than the other birds who have had sour crop, but I just don’t see you eating or drinking. I have yogurt in there for her. I really would appreciate any advice cause I don’t want to lose her. Maybe I have misdiagnosed her?

How is she doing?

I'd give a full course of Miconazole even if there's improvement. Give twice a day for a full 7 days.

See that she's drinking well and eating her normal feed (wet or dry). Bits of scrambled egg can be offered as interest and something good to eat.

Does she lay eggs? When was the last one?
Has she been dewormed?

Often a problem with the crop is just a symptom of an underlying condition.
The article below along with the comments are helpful when treating a crop problem.
