6 chickens ate a whole head of cabbage today

No real question, just am ammusing annecdote. I tossed a whole head of cabbage into their run at 1. I went out with a couple apple cores at 2 and all that was left was the core. I'm scared what I will find under the roost in the morning. The last time they had cabbage it took 3 days for them to finish it. They have been terraforming a lot lately too. I think I need to find some more greens for winter.

Cabbage makes for copious amounts fertilizer. My poo shelf sags after a cabbage fest.

So I am assuming it is ok for chickens to eat copious amounts of cabbage with only ummm lets say gaseous side effects? The wife and I just debated that yesterday.....well ok we just discussed it..lol

The only (other) down side would be upsetting their protein ratio. As a treat, it should be fine.
