6 eggs in two days?

So I have one of my hens lay 6 eggs in two days... I always look in the nesting box daily but these two days were really weird.. The first day I found one egg and nothing else in the nesting boxes... but when I came home today I found Five all together in the nesting Box. My others Aren’t laying eggs yet, so I do know it’s only her.. But this is unusual.. Dont hens lay one egg a day? And while she layed these five eggs may she have popped something like a blood vessel because I found some blood on the egg.

Are you sure the youngsters havent started early? I've never had a bird lay more than 2 in a single day im not sure were they'd even get the reserves to pop out 6 in a day :/

No way! The other hens have to be laying... 6 eggs in 2 days?! How many pullets do you have? Breeds? Any other information?

I only have one brown egg layer ._. The rest lay white eggs..

To be honest the eggs are small and large but I did start giving my hens hard boiled quail eggs so maybe that did something?

im not saying you’re lying, but 6 eggs, 2 days, 1 hen? That’s nearly impossible. Poor hen would be on her death bed. There’s not enough space for the hen to have 6 eggs in 2 days.... @aart

I have three hens and 1 rooster um she is a Brown hen the other one is a top hat hen and the last one is a gamebird cross hen or however you say it.

I don’t think that’s what happened... if 6 eggs built up because she was egg-bound, she’d be a goner
