6 + paint silkie eggs from best in show and others (seeupdate post 1)

I really do not know why hoppy is getting a hard rap on this one. first from my knowledge the paints that originated here in the us came from a black, white, splash gene pool and there are people breeding to showgirls already. I do have to agree that it is essential to know a birds gene pool so i guess that is where a persons knowledge of knowing who to trust falls in play and even then there could be surprises that the breeder did not even know about. I also do like to do a pre hatch before selling anything but i think no one really knows what is in their birds history unless they have 5 generations of breedings and some good tracking records.

Paints ''orinated ''overseas by Dick Timmermans and are ever legend to be worn on the collars of Kings. Paints here were cropouts. Thus the wrong of ever letting them co-mingle in solid flocks
Breeding to showgrirls is just another avenue for miller$.
These paints... with possible wires and springs falling out of them color wise you'll need to wait on some of them for uh oh's,

I completely agree!

I'm really not understanding the "BIG" issue with paints. They are a new color with many disqualifications. Breeders are getting every color under the rainbow with the hatches.

And why I said partridge was a no no. Look deeply into grays...

I don't understand genetics, I don't really care about shows, so I just want to say I would love to try these eggs, they are beautiful birds!!! I don't have my incubator set up right now, it's close to winter, will you be continuing to sell after this auction? Just want to make sure my bator is keeping it's temps and humidity before I buy. Please note, these will be hatched for pets, not showing if that's ok. We just lost our 2 silkies to a bunch of kids who opened the coop and let them out

Please let me know!

I will never argue genetics because I do not have the knowledge

But, let me ask you this question. If we do not use our good solid birds, how are we to ever improve the quality of the paints?

Ok to use great breeder stock and the put them back into original pens (after month so eggs dont slip in from paint) but avoid putting this offspring back into "normal" breeding stock

Oh I will never mix any paint offspring with my "normal" breeding flock. I don't want to destroy my blacks, blues, splashes, whites or buffs. Paint Offspring stays strictly with paint offspring.

Before I introduce my breeding birds back into any flock, they definitely will not be producing any paint offspring.

I understand what you guys are saying now.
