I’ve never had polish, but compared to standard sized hens of various breeds, I think they both look like pullets.

Interesting! I think the golden laced is likely a boy. It has small horns developing and follows very closely by my feet. I’ve been wondering if it does that because it can’t see and is often separated from the flock.X2, gold-laced could go either way but I’m leaning heavily toward pullet on the silver laced. Cockerels should be a little more obvious by now - but polish are tricky.
I love the crazy crest! It adds a lot of character to these guys! The hackle feathers are what throw me off. On both of them the feathers are actually round but look pointed from a distance.I keep polish and they both have male saddles, sickles and hackles, quite apart from those amazing crests.
She is gorgeous!!Here's my crazy, kooky hen named Mohawk.
The are beautiful birds.

I think you’re right! My two Polish pullets are constantly standing right next to me or standing on my feet. I noticed when I trimmed around their eyes they didn’t do this as much. Makes a lot of sense!Interesting! I think the golden laced is likely a boy. It has small horns developing and follows very closely by my feet.
