6 week old silver hmong... cockerel/pullet?

Okay... this little bird pretty much acts like a velocirapter from the movie Jurasic Park.. it's gorgeous I am assuming its a cockerel from its intensity.. but no comb an no wattles... so just wondering... any one familiar with how the hmongs develop?

or when it eats me... the look in its eye when i approach its little pen is daunting! haha!

Beautiful. Still too young to sex and this is also a new breed, at least to most of us-- I had to google it. Wait until it is feathered out completely and try again.

Is it all alone? The look in its eye would probably mellow if it had a friend to hang out with.

Will be interesting, i have 5 and this one is more intense, inquisitive and pushy if not aggressive... none have any secondary sex characteristics yet... my marans and cochins and svart honas all are showing male traits same age but these are not... so like you say time will tell...

hes is a little pen with 4 other silver hmongs and 4 LF cochins all from same hatch.. he's not mean at all but he does give me pause... like he or she is always sizign me up for eventual slaughter! haha

lol it's probably just curious and wondering why you're there. You'll have to keep us up to date on these silver Hmongs. I'm curious to find out how they develop and how they look and act as adults. The black skin with the silvery white pencilled plumage is striking.

They are cool.. i hatched these from an ebay purchase who got his stock from Fibro Farms.. after they hatched I saw that Fibro had a roo for sale and well.. i was drinking scotch and so i just had to buy him... here is a couple picks of a young roo... hes the one in front in the first pic... fibro had 2 for sale i chose the one in front. Second pic is not great but was his 1st day with me...
