Well, it's probably not a hoax in that an actual baloon was flying through the air.

The part about there ever being a kid inside hasn't been determined yet.​
 
I'm not even close to a TV but I've read the entire thread and I'm gathering that none of the news stations are broadcasting like information...

the thing is..it HAD to have a open door for him to climb into the thing...
AND thats why the police are still searching the area....so...it must have had a door...
i'm sure the father told them how the thing was built...
 
but the question is "who" saw him climb into it. "how" did the balloon get loose. and "where" were the parents?
