65 days since last egg...record-breaking brood or medical problem?

My BLRW, Florie, laid her last egg on June 21st, brooded for 38 days, and still hasn't rejoined the ranks of egg-laying girls. She's not acting at all unwell, though she did experience some molting toward the end of the brood. That seems to have tapered off now. When do I start to worry? Or is she just a world-class free-loader?

ETA: My girls are all about 15 months old.

Not world class at all, lol, I've had them stay broody a lot longer. She'll get around to it eventually.

Thanks Flockcatcher,
I was just beginning to worry that I wasn't picking up on some important medical clue, and a little guilty about thinking grudgingly of her if it was something she couldn't help. Well, at least I can stop worrying about that! Lol. Thanks for the reassurance.

Hi, it's me again. I'm just bumping this thread because it is now October 2nd, and Florence STILL HASN'T STARTED LAYING since June 21st. That's roughly three and a half months. Has she officially earned "World Class" Free-Loader status yet? When DO I start being concerned? Is there something I could be doing to encourage her? Something I should add to her diet? Oh, and Pearl, my BO, has just started her third "broody" since March 27th. I know BO's are prone to being broody, but how often is too often? Does her diet need tweaking?

Soooo many questions, soooo little experience........

ETA: Just counted. That 's 104 days since last egg.

After my broody hen finally snapped out of her mother cravings she was skinny and featherless, pretty sad looking girl. It took about 2 months before she started laying again, but that was after her molt was complete and she picked up her weight. Hang in there it will happen.
